Emilia started Taekwon-Do lessons at the tender age of 8 in May 2006.  Emilia’s younger brother was already training with Mr McAteer and a member of South Leamington club and she finally conceded to join the club after hearing her brother talk excitedly about his new hobby and noted his obvious and fast growing passion for Taekwon-do. 

Emilia currently trains with her Instructor Mr McAteer twice a week and also regularly attends Jegoo black belt training fortnightly at Stratford upon Avon Taekwon-Do Club.   After much practice, dedication and commitment Emilia passed her black belt grading at the age of 10 and is currently continuing her journey through the black belt statuses of this martial arts.  After entering many competitions between white belt to black belt with little success, Emilia won a bronze medal in the 2008 championships and grew her confidence and proved that continued focus, commitment and passion is key to achieving your goals.

Emilia's success shows that it is possible to obtain a black belt although Taekwon-Do is NOT always easy it IS always rewarding!
